Leaning Tower of Pisa

I honestly have no idea how this shot managed to distort the trees and people on the left while also keeping them vertical (ish) on the right. It was a wide angle lens at 17mm and not fisheye, so it shouldn't have happened. Either way, it looked interesting so I left it. Maybe the Tower of Pisa doesn't actually lean and it's just an optical illusion. ;)
